“The edges around my mugs and handles were cut cleanly, no weird halos.”

I run a small ceramics studio and photograph everything myself, which means my raw files are usually a mess. I sent Whitlock Capture 24 product shots for Background Removal & Cleanup and Product Image Preparation, and the difference was honestly embarrassing — for me, not them. The edges around my mugs and handles were cut cleanly, no weird halos, no chopped-off corners where the glaze catches the light. I'd had a bad experience before with a cheap service that left grey fringing on every curve, so I was watching for that specifically. Nothing.
Upload was straightforward, files came back in the format I asked for, and the per-image pricing meant I knew exactly what I was paying before I committed. I've since sent two more batches. The only thing I'd mention is that I had to be fairly specific about how much shadow I wanted retained under the objects — once I explained it, every subsequent image matched. Worth asking up front if you care about that sort of detail.

“Exposure and colour were evened out across the whole set.”

I used the Batch Photo Processing Package for an archive of event photos — 38 images, so comfortably under the 40 limit for $129. Good value for what it is. Exposure and colour were evened out across the whole set, which was the main thing I needed, since the shots were taken across several hours and the light shifted badly towards the end. The cropping was sensible and consistent.
Four stars rather than five for one reason: turnaround on my first order took a bit longer than I'd expected, and I'd have appreciated a clearer estimate when I submitted the files. Communication was polite when I asked, and the second batch came back quicker, so it may have just been timing. The work itself I have no complaints about. If you're processing a volume of similar images and don't need individual artistic attention on each one, this package does the job properly.

“Texture was preserved. Pores still look like pores.”

I'm a portrait photographer and I'm very particular about retouching — I've stopped working with editors before because they smoothed skin into plastic. I sent six images through Portrait Photo Retouching at $9 each as a test, fully expecting to be disappointed.
I wasn't. Texture was preserved. Pores still look like pores. They cleaned up a few blemishes and a stray hair across the forehead on one shot, balanced the light on the shadow side of the face, and left everything else alone. That restraint is rare and it's exactly what the service description promises, which I appreciated — a lot of places overpromise and then over-edit.
I also used Image Resizing & Web Optimization for a client's gallery page, 20 images for $39. Straightforward, fast, files were properly compressed without visible degradation. Entirely remote process, no calls, no back-and-forth beyond what was necessary. For someone working alone and juggling deadlines, that efficiency matters as much as the editing quality. Will continue using them.

Start with the intended use of the images. Background cleanup suits cutouts; product preparation covers files for listings; catalogue standardisation aligns a series. If several adjustments are needed, describe them in the project request so the scope can be confirmed.
Include the image count, intended use, dimensions, file format and any reference preferences. For cutouts, say whether to retain natural shadows. For portraits, specify what to correct and what should remain untouched.
The first six services are priced per image. Image Resizing & Web Optimization is $39 for up to 20 images. The Batch Photo Processing Package is $129 for up to 40 images. The final scope and total are confirmed before paid work begins.
Source images are provided digitally through the transfer method agreed for your project. Completed files are delivered electronically. There are no physical products to ship.
Timing depends on the image count, the complexity of the adjustments and current availability. The expected schedule is agreed with you before processing. This website does not promise a fixed turnaround for every project.
Compare the files with the agreed brief and explain any discrepancy. Corrections within that scope can be reviewed. New creative directions, extra files or additional services require a revised scope and price.
